After the Jio Wave, Get ready for the Airtel Volte Experience
The Reliance Jio has made it’s mark and won the hearts of millions of customers and it’s time for Airtel to play it’s new innings in the field of VOLTE. Well, the more intense the competition, the better are the options for the customer’s. According to the latest news, a lot of pre launch testing is going on. Airtel has also successfully completed the tests on few 4G supported Mobile Handsets available in the market. Hence, this is good news for the stake holder’s as well because the leading Telecom services provider Airtel will be able to increase and retain the already existing huge customer base . Recalling here, Airtel has the strongest network presence in Indian rural areas which covers a major portion of the mobile users in the country. As Reliance Jio is the only Operator providing 4G VOLTE voice calling in India, the competition would become more interesting with players like Airtel also joining the league of VOLTE service providers.
As per Mr. Gopal Mittal (CEO Airtel) , “ VOLTE will be much relevant in major markets or large cities in the coming 12-18 month” The top Airtel Bharti Executive Mr Gopal has the experience of working with leading companies like Hindustan Unilever. Now, it would be really interesting to see how the involvement of experienced professionals from Airtel and the successful implementation of VOLTE reap results for the leading Telecom player in India. Till Now, Reliance Jio was the sole performer in the field of VOLTE free calling and hence customers didn’t have any option but Now the Jio really needs to tackle the Qall Quality Issue with care. There is more possibility of that customer’s switching to Airtel and other’s who have not enrolled for Jio Prime Membership. Although the percentage is very less but still Rs 99 is not that high amount and even Jio Prime Members can keep an additional option of using other services simultaneously. For example, I have enrolled for the Jio prime membership and I might opt not to recharge for one month and try the 4G calling of Airtel this month. These small things do matter a lot in the long run and we can wait to see what happen’s with the future quality of VOLTE Voice Calling.
Currently, Airtel VOLTE calling is in the testing phase and offering voice calling on the circuit-switch technology. However, after giving the Jio a healthy competition in the tarrif plans sector, Mukesh Ambani led Jio is looking forward to compete in the VOLTE services sector. As per information from reliable sources, we know that preparations for Airtel are up to date and they have completed the deployment of required infrastructure in the country. The infrastructure contract was given from Airtel to the Finnish company Nokia last year. The testing’s are going from Airtel to make things perfect and the VOLTE services will be rolled out throughout the country after introducing in the bigger metro cities.
The VoLTE service from Airtel is expected to be launched in the next month after the domestic roaming facility was stopped by the latter.
